7. Newsletter “AI Weekly Review”

Purpose. If you subscribe to the AI Weekly Review, we use your email address solely to send you this newsletter. It is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes.

Software used: MailPoet. We use the WordPress plugin MailPoet to manage the recipient list and to send the newsletter. The provider is Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA. Your data is stored in the database of this website. For sending, it is transmitted to and processed by the MailPoet Sending Service, which involves a transfer to the USA. This transfer is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and on the provider’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Data stored. We store your email address, the language you chose, and the time and IP address of both your sign-up and your confirmation. Times and IP addresses serve solely as proof of your consent.

Double opt-in. After signing up you receive an email containing a confirmation link. Delivery only begins once you have clicked that link.

Open and click measurement. MailPoet is currently configured to measure whether an email is opened and whether links inside it are clicked; cookies are used for this. The purpose is solely to judge the quality of the newsletter.

Legal basis. Processing is based on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out until then remains unaffected.
